God changing us.

So, God has been moving in ways that I would have never imagine. We are reading through Crazy Love with our Sunday school class. I was not into this book the first time I tried to read it, but God is really showing all of us what it means to be a true follower of Him. He is reminding me what it means to be the church. It is the hardest thing because I am never sure if I will ever measure up to what He has for me. It is especially in the way He is challenging me to give up things, my time and my priorities to serve and love others, just as He did and just as He loves me. I know God is really challenging us as Christians to be like Jesus.

Also, as we serve in the student ministries at the church, I also am reminded of how we are to be the church. Each week Pastor Ryan challenges the students to share about themselves and students are sharing deep issue and we watch fellow students gather to lift them up. It is very awesome to watch what the church is to be like, but it is still a challenge to maintain that. It is absolutely amazing and I am so blessed and thankful that I am apart of this and to see how God is really changing Tom and I too.

We are so happy to be where we are, and I believe we are finally feeling at home. I praise God for where He has us. I pray that we will continue to see this and become the church that God meant us to be.

They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved. Acts 2:42-47
