Recent Happenings...

A new job. Yes, I started a new job, again. Okay, it is only my 3rd since graduation, but feels like a lot. I am finishing my second week at Beaver County Rehabilitation Center. I work out of the WIN Services Office in Beaver. I am an employment specialist, and what that means is I work with adults who have MR or MH and do any of the following with them: job placement, job training or habilitation. Let me say I am loving my job! My supervisior and co-workers are so supportive it is amazing. The clients are absolutely wonderful. I just love the fact that I am meeting someone where they are at and helping make a difference in their lives. I just see God loves shining through each day.

A visit. Tom's parents came to visit us this past weekend. It was really great because we have not seen them since our wedding because they have been in China. We really enjoyed catching up with them and hearing their stories. My favorite was on about his mom buying brown sugar to make cookies (Tom will have to tell it because I keep messing it up, but it made me laugh a lot). We had the opportunity to take them to Pittsburgh where we met my mom and walked around the Heinz History Center then ate lunch at the Spaghetti Warehouse. It was a great time. We also had the opportunity to play Wii bowling in which they all kicked my butt. It was nice to have guests in our home and be able to enjoy family.
